In this session, a wide range of topics was discussed, beginning with Olgun Aydın, Ph.D’s career journey and extending to his experience as a reviewer for academic publications, the impact created by GenAI hype, and the factors influencing the success of GenAI-based products.

The discussion addressed the decision to relocate abroad and the challenges that may be encountered in this process, the differing dynamics of data science transformation in Türkiye and abroad, common statistical mistakes observed in academic research, the organizational impact of the “adding GenAI to everything” mindset, approaches to developing GenAI-based solutions with cost optimization in mind, processes for building technical teams and mentoring for technical roles, as well as the current state and practical use cases of agentic architectures.
